The Acquisition Club is operated by Hugo Hompe. This notice explains how information submitted through this website is used. You can contact Hugo through the contact form, including for privacy requests.

Information we collect

Applications include your name, email, timezone, business stage, industry, goals, acquisition channels, investment readiness, available time and reason for applying. Contact messages include your name, email and message. We also record submission time and a daily hash derived from your IP address for spam prevention. We do not store the raw IP address in the application database. Hosting providers may process network and security logs.

Why we use it

We use your information to evaluate your request, assess mentorship fit and respond to you. This supports steps you request before entering a potential agreement, or our legitimate interest in responding to general inquiries. Security measures support our legitimate interest in protecting the website from abuse. Submitting an application does not subscribe you to a marketing newsletter.

Storage and service providers

Submissions are stored in the website's server-side database. The website is hosted on Vercel. Application storage and processing use the existing ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare backend. Authorized site operators can review stored submissions. If email notifications are enabled, Resend processes the notification and relevant submission details. Service providers may process data internationally under their applicable safeguards and terms.

Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to review and follow up on your request and address related obligations. You may request deletion when the information is no longer needed. If you enroll, separate records may be retained for contractual and legal requirements.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Use the contact form and state your request. We may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to your relevant data protection authority, including Sweden's IMY.

Cookies and tracking

We have not added advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Hosting and security services may use essential technologies to operate and protect the site. Please do not submit sensitive personal information, passwords or payment details.
